We offer a variety of veterinary medicine services including, but not limited to, surgeries, preventive medicine, boarding facilities focused primarily on special-needs animals, dental care, radiology, electrocardiography and diagnostics.

Our small but dedicated team follows our mission statement:  To provide comprehensive high-quality veterinary care, while providing employees with desirable, fulfilling and financially rewarding employment.

Our small but friendly staff will make every attempt to make your pets visit, as well as your visit to the Clinic as enjoyable as possible.  If you have any question about your pet, the diagnosis or treatment, please feel comfortable asking one of our veterinarians for an explanation.  A well-informed client makes for a happier and healthier pet.

  • Dr. Bogdan Klinkosz, DVM, Owner

    Veterinarian
    Dr.Bogdan Klinkosz came from Poland in 1993 as a Research fellow for the Dept. of Neurology, Cleveland Clinic, to do research regarding amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He conducted many experiments that culminated into a large scale clinical trial in North America and helped advance the treatment for that illness.

    After 5 years, his desire to help animals and the joy he received from the interactions with clients and their pets proved to be a major factor in changing career paths. He is a fully certified DVM in USA, Canada, and in the European Union. He studied in Poland, Germany, and Sweden, and has prior education in Pharmacy.  Dr.Bogdan has a special interest in ophthalmology and alternative medicine. He is a member of:

    • Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA),
    • Polish Small Animal Veterinary Association (PSAVA),
    • Ohio Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA),

  • Dr. Yasmin Nehal

    Veterinarian
    Dr. Yasmin Nehal was born and raised in northeast Ohio.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and her Bachelor of Arts in French from the University of Akron in 1983.  She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ohio State University in 1987.  Dr. Nehal is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA).

    In her free time, Dr. Nehal enjoys gardening, cooking, and jewelry making.  She has two dogs, both rescues, Onyx and Shelby.

  • Dr. Michael Slawienski, DACVS

    Mobile Veterinarian
    Dr. Slawienski is a native of Buffalo, New York. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Cornell University and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University in 1992. He completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at West Los Angeles Animal Hospital and completed his residency as a veterinary surgeon at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in New York City. He became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1999.

    Dr. Mike practiced at Associated Veterinary Specialists in St. Louis before moving to Ohio with his family in 2004. He has provided soft tissue, neurologic, and orthopedic specialty surgeries for patients of veterinary hospitals in Northeast Ohio and surrounding areas since that time. Dr. Mike is an avid homebrewer and as a BJCP certified judge has judged beer competitions nationally and abroad. Dr. Mike enjoys spending time with his three young wonderful children and his wife. Dr. Slawienski has a sweet one-eyed Pug named Boty and a very mischievous cat named Shadow.

  • Brian

    Veterinary Assistant
    Brian is currently a student at Lakeland Community College where he is pursuing his Nursing degree. Pets were always a big part of his life and so it seemed only natural to begin work in a field where he can connect both passions. When he is not working or studying, he likes to spend time with his friends and family. 
  • Eliza

    Veterinary Assistant
    Eliza has worked with wildlife and companion animals since 2014. She is currently pursuing her master's degree in biology, and plans to apply to veterinary school in the summer of 2018. She is passionate about wildlife conservation, science, and pizza. When not working or studying, she loves to spend time with her boyfriend and family, including two pittie mixes, Murphy and Meatball, two cats, Snarf and Phoebe, and a silver dollar fish named Fifty Cent. 
  • Amanda

    Veterinary Technician
    Amanda is a recent graduate from Stauntzenburger College with a veterinary technician degree. She is also a proud mom of 5 cats. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and watching Netflix with her kitties. 
  • Rachel

    Receptionist 
    Rachel recently moved back to the greater Cleveland area with her husband, Willy, and two sons, Avery and Miles from a small island off the coast of North Carolina where she worked at a Skydive Operation. She has an Associates degree in Human Services Management and finds gratification in helping others. She has a rescued dog named Dudley Earl, a cat named Frances Chelsea Dixon, and a red bellied parrot named Emanuel Pigford the Bird. In her free time she and her family enjoy hiking national parks, camping, playing in rivers, and swimming in quarries. She is passionate about music, crystals, and the people in her life who inspire her to be the best she can be. 
  • Claire

    Veterinary Assistant 
    Claire has worked with companion and research animals since 2013 but has had a love of animals since she was young. Claire is graduating in May with her Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Environmental Studies at Case Western Reserve University. She also works as an Ambassador with the Office for Sustainability and Rock Wall Instructor at CWRU. Claire loves all things outdoors and her favorites include rock climbing, cycling to the beach, or resting in her hammock.

    Receptionist 
    Josh is a new resident to the eastside of Cleveland. He is the proud owner of a rescued lab/sharpei mix named Alex, a cat named Lillian, and several freshwater fish. He enjoys cooking and dining, gardening, watching movies and taking Alex to the dog park.
